DO NOT purchase the program from the website that pops-up when your hit the button on the screen-pop! The viruses and errors that the program pretends to locate are not real. This virus program basically hijacks your PC so it doesn't show-up in your computers basic program-uninstall function.
After almost an hour of trying to locate this program I finally removed it from my PC.
FIX: To remove the nasty virus you will need to open WINDOWS TASK MANAGER and select the processes tab. There you should see a program running called Opt Pro Reminder, or something similar. Go ahead and select the process from the results menu then click the END PROCESS button.
Then, you will need to use your PC's search function from the start menu. Go to the ALL FILES AND FOLDERS search and type in: OptProReminder.exe. This is the virus. Once the search locates it then select and delete.
Finally, go to your recycle or trash-bin and then delete the files again to make sure that the bugger is all the way gone.
These steps were listed for a windows XP system but hopefully users with other operating systems will find this useful.
Go ahead and post addition tips or tricks about removing PC Optimizer Pro if you find that my steps do not work for you, but these are the steps that finally worked for me. Good Luck!
